DEBBIE VAN THIMBU

16-01-1986 / 04-06-2004

Our love for Birmans started with our dear old Debbes.  Debbes is no longer with us, but she is the reason that we wanted to have more birmans in the house, and eventually started the cattery. It is very nice to see that some of our girls have taken over some of Debbie's habits, especially Joy has learned a lot from Debbie.  Enjoy our site, greetings, Martin & Alexandra.

Joy of Guerdy’s Own (07-04-1998)

This is Joy of Guerdy’s Own, nickname Smukkie. Yes folks, our cattery name was named after Joy’s first litter !! Joy is a lovely girl with a great character, and she has had a few litters now with really great looking kittens. Joy is the leader of the pack, and she makes sure that everything runs smoothly with all our Birmans. She doesn't allow any of the cats picking a fight with each other.

Angel Smugg’s Pride (21-08-1999)

Angel is the first child of Joy, and our very first “Smugg’s Pride” When Angel was a kitten, we took her to a cat show once, where she was awarded a 'EX1. But because Angel didn’t like it to much, we decided to leave “Bear” (yes, another nickname !) at home in the future. We don’t want to force our cats in doing something they don’t like, their happiness is more important to us than a couple of ribbons and a cup. Angel is an outstanding Mom, and a great aunt for Joy’s and Baby’s kittens.  Angel has bloodtype A.

CH DK Sir & Lady's Lady June  (10-04-2003)

When we were in Denmark we accidentally walked right into this beautiful lady.  Within a second we fell in love with this beautiful chocolat point girl, and we decided to take her home with us. June has a great character, and follows us where ever we go. June has bloodtype A.  June is neutered.

GIC Chanta Moni Farah (12-04-2003)

This is Farah, our pride and joy. Farah is a very beautiful lilac-point female. Farah especially likes to bite our toes when we are asleep.  Farah has bloodtype A.

 SC DK Kiru's Lilac Nou-Nou (23-05-2004)

This is Nou-Nou. Nou-Nou is a lilac tabby male. This little man has stolen our hearts ever since we saw him. Nou-Nou has a great character, and a breathtaking type. Our little man will be used for our own girls exclusively. Nou-Nou doesn't spray, so he can freely move through the house amongst te girls. We want to thank Kirsten for her faith in us.

Nou-Nou has bloodtype A.

Kyra Smugg's Pride (13-06-2004)

We proudly present: Kyra. This beauty is a daughter of Baby Blue.  Isn't she adorable?  Kyra has an outstanding character, and is very well shaped. Kyra has bloodtype A.

IC DK Flicka's Romy Faira (01-07-2006)

This is Romy, our latest pride.  Romy comes from Denmark, and is a very adorable chocolate point girl.  We are very, very gratefull to Suzanne & Jorgen for having our little baby. Romy has bloodtype A.

EC Baby Blue Smugg’s Pride
10-04-2000 – 26-08-2009

Our Baby Blue is no longer with us...
Baby was playing with a little creature in the garden, wich eventually cost her her life... Baby was poisoned by a toad.. We never thought we had to endure so much pain because losing Baby Blue came to us like a big shock. Baby, dear Baby,  we'll always love you and you'll be in our hearts forever.

Kittens, the rules

Our girls may have a litter once a year, so every now and then we have kittens walking about the house. You can always mail or call us to know if we have some white whoollies available for you. We breed Sacred Birmans because we love them, and not to make money !! Therefore we want to be sure that our kittens will have a great life with their new owners. With that in our mind, we try to be as selective as possible, which  I’m sure you will understand. But,…if you ever had a Birman as a pet, you are sold for the rest of your live !! Our kittens go to their new owners at the age of 13 weeks, and we personally bring them together with their passport, pedigree, etc….

Kittens

Our kittens are born in the living room and from the very first day, when we go to bed, they go upstairs too, and vice versa in the morning. If they reach the age that they can climb the stairs, then they can play from the living room up until the attic. There is nothing greater than see those little white furry creatures running through the house. And, because we are music lovers, the kittens are used to a great amount of noise ! (it makes them naughty!) When they are about 6 weeks old, they stand waiting by the front door when one of us comes home.

The back yard. The little piece of fence prevents our cats to go "abroad"
